Raw Taro

Hello! My name is Tara. I’m an Asian American artist in Kansas City, Missouri. Raw Taro was created 3 years ago when I started selling reproductions of my personal work in various forms such as art prints, stickers, and bookmarks, with the intention of expanding into more products. My inspiration comes from multiple sources ranging from the social causes I am passionate about to my favorite pieces of media, especially horror and sci-fi genres. My work often features lettering, botanical elements, and/or subtle nerdy references, all with a slightly darker aesthetic. All work is hand drawn using analog and digital mediums. I strongly believe art needs to come from genuine human nature, not an algorithm or generative engine. As a result, no generative AI is used in my process.
